A digital puzzle game to teach additive-color physics and Boolean visual logic through gameplay.
Learning Relevance
Luminara helps learners (ages 14–18) grasp how RGB light blends to create colors, reinforcing knowledge relevant to displays, lighting, and design.
Gameplay
Drag transparent red, green, or blue light shapes onto a grid to match a target silhouette. Success is determined when the blended light matches the goal with 95%+ accuracy.
Why It Works
Immediate Feedback: Real-time color blending shows learners what works—and what doesn’t.
Scaffolded Levels: From two-color basics to three-color constrained logic challenges.
Minimal UI: Reduces distractions so players focus on conceptual understanding.
Learning Objectives
Predict RGB color outcomes using light-wave reasoning.
Use overlapping shapes to achieve logic-based color mixing (AND/OR).
Apply geometric thinking to position and align light sources.
